Join us for a citywide family reunion at the annual Festival Sundiata presents Black Arts Fest on August 22 – 23 at the Seattle Center Armory Food & Event Hall, Mural Amphitheatre, and Fisher Pavilion!
Festival Sundiata, the Pacific Northwest’s longest-running African American festival, returns to Seattle Center for an entertainment-packed weekend. Guests of all ages are invited to celebrate the rich tapestry of Black culture and explore the incredible contributions of people of African descent.
An annual highlight is the show-stopping national music acts, along with the best in local talent that perform on two stages. Catch powerful musical performances by national headlines and top talent, including Minneapolis funk rock legend Morris Day and The Time, Zimbabwean-American hip hop artist Draze, Michael Hepburn from Portland’s Pleasure, plus The Throwbacks, Celestine Berrysmith, Cer2fied, Lady Mercedes, Pacific Northwest Community Gospel Choir, Double Dutch Divas, and more!
Get your groove on with the inaugural Skate Sundiata, which is transforming Fisher Pavilion into a roller rink, with skaters of all levels rolling and gliding to a live DJ. Explore interactive programming inside the Seattle Center Armory, including dynamic visual art installations, immersive cultural experiences, and kid’s activities hosted by the Seattle Children’s Museum.
