SEA-Nordic Film Festival

Celebrating Queer Nordic Cinema in the Pacific Northwest!

The 2026 SEA-Nordic Film Festival showcases LGBTQ+ stories from across the Nordic region. Trace the history of queer representation in Nordic cinema in this week-long festival highlighting queer love, gender exploration, and cultural identity. This festival includes one of the first overt representations of gay relationships in cinema alongside contemporary films that showcase the diversity of LGBTQ+ experiences.

The Nordic landscape sets the stage for beautiful cinematography and memorable stories you will want to revisit.

This year, the Festival will be hosted in Osberg Great Hall at the National Nordic Museum.
Screenings will occur over an entire week and will include short films, talk backs with academics and artists, and a collaborative art project.

Held from September 15-19, evening screenings from Tuesday to Friday and a full-day experience to cap off the Festival on Saturday.
