Red Barn Event - Stories from the North Karakorum Ski Expedition

This is a FREE event with a donation basket at the door.
Doors open at 6:30pm for a community social with beer and wine available for purchase. The presentation will start at 7:00pm.

The Karakoram mountain range rises to over 20,000 feet and has been referred to as the “Throne Room of the Mountain Gods”. Passage through this mountain fortress involves intricately linking high mountains passes with crevasse ridden glaciers. During the winter of 1994, members of the North Karakoram ski expedition made the first ever daring traverse of the Karakoram Mountains in Northern Pakistan. Join local expedition members Bill Gaines and Susan Thomas as they retell their stories and share their breathtaking images from this remarkable mountain adventure.
