Lakewold Gardens is pleased to present Sounds of the Homelands, its 2024 Music from Home season. Each concert program features the music of a particular cultural terroir, brought to life in the garden by renowned performers and guest musicologists for selected performances.

This concert features pianist Rodolfo Ritter performing classical music by Mexican composers. The program includes some U.S. premiere of early piano works by iconic Mexican composer Silvestre Revueltas as well as varied piano music by another giant of Mexican composition: Manuel Ponce.

The Sounds of Mexico I & II concerts are acollaboration with the Mexican Consulate in Seattle’s MEXAM NW Festival & Mexico’s National Music and Opera Liaison of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literatura (Coordinación Nacional de Música y Ópera del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura). Ritter is part of the group Concertistas de Bellas Artes.
