Connecting people and communities is a core part of WRI's mission. We are proud to be a gathering space welcome to all. It's for this reason that we are giving the community an opportunity to learn about how the two Leavenworth mayoral candidates want to distinguish themselves around issues that matter to our community and WRI's mission.

We have developed the structure and format of this event with the campaigns of the two candidates to assure that this is a respectful, responsible, and relevant opportunity to connect with the community. This event is not a policy debate, but an opportunity to get to know your two Leavenworth mayoral candidates, Carl Florea and Rich Brinkman.

Want to submit questions for the candidates? WRI is accepting questions that are related to WRI's mission, including themes of climate change, fire, tourism economy, watershed health, housing, education, leadership philosophy, and wildlife. Live questions will not be accepted during the event. Only questions that fit the themes of the evening will be accepted. To be more inclusive, this event will also be available via Zoom and free childcare will be offered during the event. If you're not able to tune into the event live, the recording will be available on WRI's YouTube channel after the event.

Doors open at 5:30pm and the event begins at 6pm.
The event will begin with a brief introduction followed with formal questions and answers, and an informal meet & greet to end the event. Again, this is not a policy debate. We ask that you leave your campaign paraphernalia at home.
