María founded Seattle Escibre, the largest group of writers who write in Spanish in Washington State.
Her third novel, La Casa de los Secretos (Planeta, 2016) received second place as the best novel in Spanish at the International Book Awards in Los Angeles, California.
She is working on her fourth novel. It will be released in 2025.
