Turning Up the Volume for Downtown: Dave Harvey Gives Back Through Music
As a resident of historic downtown Issaquah, Dave Harvey has watched the streets he calls home come alive in ways that feel both nostalgic and new—music drifting down Front Street, neighbors gathering at events, artwork in booths lining sidewalks. A lot of that energy, he knows, comes from the work of the Downtown Issaquah Association (DIA). And as a volunteer who has received DIA’s “Get ‘Er Done” award, he’s been part of it—helping where he can, showing up when it counts. But for Dave, “showing up” started to feel like it could mean something more. So he did what any lifelong music lover with a couple of rock bands in his orbit might do—he decided to throw a concert. Not just any concert, but a full-on benefit concert for DIA powered by three local rock bands, including his own, Magnetic Grey
