The Tasveer Film Festival is the leading South Asian film festival in North America, headquartered in the beautiful Pacific Northwest city of Seattle in Washington State. We are also the first and only Academy® qualifying South Asian Film Festival in the world. The opening night film is Wakhri at PACCAR IMAX Theatre, followed by an engaging Q&A with the cast and crew of Wakhri. Filmmaker Iram Parveen Bilal, Producers, Abid Aziz Merchant will be there to answer all of your questions. Post-film indulges in delicious Pakistani food, a special reception dinner. Dance the night away with a South Asian DJ Anjali & The Incredible Kid.

This festival offers a platform for South Asian storytellers from all over the world to showcase their talent through various mediums such as films, workshops, and panel discussions. We firmly believe that film has the power to unite ideas and communities, and through storytelling, we can create deeper understanding leading to a happier and healthier world.

South Asia includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tibet, and its various Diasporas worldwide.

The Tasveer Film Market is a groundbreaking initiative designed to reshape financial and distribution models for South Asian filmmakers in North America. With a focus on expanding the reach and fostering collaboration, the market will host events such as the Co-Production Market, Tasveer Film Fund pitches (supported by Netflix), Industry Panels & Conversations, Industry Screenings, Promotional & Display Opportunities, and Networking Events. These activities aim to empower creatives by connecting them with producing partners, distributors, and global platforms.

This will be alongside our flagship Oscar® qualifying film festival, Tasveer Film Festival (TFF), through which we bring South Asian voices to the world. The Market will take place in the Tagney Jones & M5 in the Seattle Center, Oct 15 – 18, 2024.
