Emails obtained by OPB and KUOW show that at least six electric substations in the region have been attacked, at least two with firearms. At least two of the incidents bear similarities to the attacks on substations in North Carolina on Saturday that were also caused by gunfire and left thousands of people without electricity for days.

Friends and family gathered Monday afternoon to remember one of the four University of Idaho students who were stabbed to death in their home early on Nov. 13. Police in the college town of Moscow, Idaho, have yet to identify a suspect in the slayings. The memorial service for Ethan Chapin was held Monday afternoon in Mount Vernon, Washington, where he attended high school.

Authorities investigating the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students as they slept in a house near campus are asking for patience as detectives ended the first week with no arrests. Authorities on Sunday said they have no suspect or weapon a week after the Nov. 13 killings that shook Moscow, a town of 25,000 residents in the Idaho Panhandle.

Autopsies have been completed on the bodies of four University of Idaho students who were found dead inside a rental house near campus on Sunday, and the results show that all of them were stabbed to death. The Spokane County Medical Examiner says the bodies have been released to their families.

Two teenage boys had initial court appearances Wednesday, one day after the shooting at Ingraham High School left a student dead. While one boy waived his right to appear in court, the second boy appeared at the Children and Family Justice Center in Seattle. His father, near tears, spoke in his defense.
