LOS ANGELES — The Washington Huskies gave fans a reason to stick around until the end of the 105th Rose Bowl on Tuesday, despite a slow start against Ohio State. But the impressive fourth-quarter rally wasn’t enough to defeat the Buckeyes. The Big Ten champions defeated the Pac-12 champions 28-23.

The University of Washington football team has another late start this weekend. Just like last weekend against Cal, the Huskies’ game at Arizona State begins at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.

It's not the ideal circumstance for University of Washington football players or head coach Chris Petersen. They open the 2015 season next Friday night, Sept. 4, against Petersen's very successful old team, Boise State, in Boise, on national television (ESPN).
