A dramatic comeback was not enough for the Seahawks Sunday. They lost to the Falcons 30-28 in the NFC Divisional playoff game in Atlanta. Find out what one longtime Seattle sports fan has to say about it.

The Seahawks came back from a 20-0 deficit at the half to take a one-point lead late in the game. But a 49-yard field goal with eight seconds left gave Atlanta the win.

The Hawks’ heartbreaking last-minute loss is sure to leave scars on many Seattle sports fans.

KPLU’s Kevin Kniestedt is one of them. It caused him to take pause and reflect on many years of rough sports memories and to consider why Seattle sports fans keep hanging around.

Kevin began his career at KNKX in 2003, where his first responsibility was to eradicate the KNKX Jazz Library from all Smooth Jazz CD’s. Since then there is not much at KNKX he hasn’t done. Kevin has worked as a full time jazz host, news host, and has hosted, at least once, almost every single program on KNKX. Kevin currently produces 88.5's weekly show Sound Effect. Kevin has conducted or produced hundreds of interviews, has won local and national awards for newscasts and commentary, and helped make the KNKX Grocery Tote famous.
