To promote their new movie – “The Campaign” – actors Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis blazed into a Seattle cafe to stump for votes in their faux election campaign.
The two are touring the country as if mired in a real political race, though they are “campaigning” to represent a district in North Carolina. Below is a video of their event in Seattle.

The scene at the Local Color Cafe was a madhouse of hundreds of rabid fans and media as the two took coffee orders and attempted to make and hand out at least a couple of the drinks.
Even an hour before the event began, there was already a crowd of about 100 people lined outside the cafe, in the middle of the market and around the corner.
KPLU’s intern photographer Mallory Kaniss was ushered into the "press area" near the front counter of the cafe in what resembled something like a mosh pit of media teams and cameras. Here's her first-hand account:
"By the time the stars had arrived, the media neglected all sense of order and the press photo/video opportunities became a free-for-all. "The few locals that were served by Will and Zach were brought in single file to order their drink of choice. However, it was difficult to hear anyone's order due to the roars from the crowd of 300 or so people crowded around the door and 50 or more inside (with, judging by photos published by others later, eventually a couple thousand in the streets around the cafe). "After getting what shots/video I could, I was quickly told to leave out the back door of the cafe and make my way through the sea of fans."

Among the trip’s highlights, Ferrell and Galifianakis will coach opposing teams in a ferocious tug-of-war contest at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Ft. Worth, Texas, which will later host an advance screening of the film. At Chicago’s famed Wrigley Field, the two will throw out dueling first pitches at the Chicago Cubs/Florida Marlins game and, in Toronto, they will visit Canada’s beloved Hockey Hall of Fame, where their arrival will coincide with the arrival of the also-touring Stanley Cup. In Philadelphia, they will don tricorn hats and attempt to recreate the signing of the Declaration of Independence and finally, in D.C., pose for photos at the U.S. Capitol.
