Spring has officially arrived, but warmer temperatures have not. Those warmer days lie ahead, but first we’ll have to get through a cool and wet weekend, says KPLU weather expert Cliff Mass.
Friday will be “a nice day, but cool,” said Mass, adding temperatures will only reach the lower 50s.
Saturday will start as a clear day, but clouds will thicken in the afternoon, particularly north of Seattle, Mass said.
“By dinner time, even the late afternoon, there could be some light showers coming in from Everett up to Whidbey Island,” said Mass. “So [we’ll see] a little bit of rain [to the north], but decent south of Seattle.”
Come Sunday, “temperatures will warm up a bit, but clouds will linger,” said Mass.
Then Monday will bring good news.
“We’re going to be flooded with warm air coming from the south,” he said. “There’ll be considerable amount of clouds, but it will be warmer. Temperatures will jump up into the 60s, some places even in the mid-60s. So Monday will be the warmest day.”
