Delvon Lamarr and his wife/manager Amy Novo are packing up the Hammond organ and moving to Austin, Texas, to begin a new stage in their musical journey. After a sparkling live performance in the KNKX studios, the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio celebrates New Year's Eve at the Triple Door before packing and preparing for the move. I asked them to write a fond farewell note, a "love letter" to their friends and fans in the Northwest. They were only too happy to oblige.
As our departure from the PNW approaches, we reminisce about all that we have experienced in our hometown. The community has embraced us and seen us grow, and they've also seen all the hard work it took to get where we are going.
The PNW is like our first love. Even though we may not be together anymore you will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.
We are on the fast train and success is riding with us because of our team, which includes all of you! May you continue to ride with us on this journey as we will always keep you close to our hearts!
So many fond memories, so many rough bumps as we all continue to move forward to follow our dreams and aspirations of which so many of us share.
May our path allow others to follow, so we all can see each other again where the stars shine and music can be heard.
We love you Seattle, the community, the artists and fans...
The warmth of this place we call home will always be there, even when we live so far away!
Please come celebrate with us at Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio's last Seattle New Year's Eve celebration at Triple Door. We're playing two shows: one all ages and the second one 21+. You're also invited to our going away party on Jan. 13, 4-8 p.m. at Highland Park Improvement Club in West Seattle. It's a jam session, so whoever wants to play or just hang out before we leave the next day, come share the love and the music!
So Seattle, we bid you farewell but not goodbye, till we meet again...
Love Delvon Lamarr and Amy Novo
