Jacqueline Tabor's Art of Jazz concert at SAM

Singer Jacqueline Tabor, named Earshot Vocalist of the year for 2018, was accompanied by a quartet including Michael Brockman on saxophone, John Hansen on piano, Clipper Anderson on bass and D'Vonne Lewis playing the drums. Songs performed ranged from well-known standards to several more obscure songs and the title song from her most recent CD, "The Lady In The Gown."

The Art of Jazz series is presented by Earshot Jazz and The Seattle Art Museum with the support of KNKX.  John Gilbreath, executive director of Earshot, curates the series. Concerts are free and on the third Thursday of each month. Next week, the Thomas Marriott Quintet will be heard in a performance recorded at Tula's in this last month before the jazz club closes.

Jazz Northwest is recorded and produced by host Jim Wilke and airs Sundays at 2 p.m. Listeners may also subscribe to the podcast at KNKX, NPR, AppleGoogle or Spotify
