Valentine's Day on Jazz Northwest

Sundays on Jazz Northwest, you can hear some great music by jazz artists who've called the Northwest home over the years. This Sunday, we'll mark Valentine's Day with songs from three singers including Eugenie Jones from her new CD "Players", Jenny Davis, and Ernestine Anderson, none of whom will sing MFV. Also this week, Don Lanphere & Pete Christlieb, a Seattle visit from Cannonball Adderley in the 60s, pianist Ann Reynolds, and Cecil Young's bop quartet from a concert in 1951.

Jim has been a fixture on Seattle radio since 1961. He was the host of Jazz After Hours on Public Radio International from 1984-2014. Currently Jim has been producing Jazz Northwest for KNKX since 1988. This weekly program focuses on the regional jazz scene and frequently includes performances Jim records on location for Jazz Northwest.
