The Point Of No Return cocktail was created by bartender Keith Waldbauer at Liberty Bar on Capitol Hill. A fiery spectacle guaranteed as fun to drink as it is to prepare, the Point of No Return is a crowd-pleasing classic.
What you'll need:
Rocks glass & Mixing glass
Matches
Small sprig of rosemary
½ oz. green chartreuse
1 ½ oz. gin
¾ oz. lime juice
¾ oz. simple syrup
¼ oz. absinthe (atomized)
How to prepare:
In a mixing glass, combine gin, lime juice, and simple syrup. Set aside. Curl a sprig of rosemary into a crown shape and place at the bottom of a rocks glass. Pour green chartreuse on top of the sprig. Light sprig on fire using a match as you shake the glass. Roast the sprig with atomized absinthe while continuously shaking the glass (CAUTION: This will cause flames to shoot out). When oil starts to release from the rosemary after a minute or two, pour contents of mixing glass over the rosemary to oust the fire. Add ice and voila!
