KNKX'S 2020 PORTLAND JAZZ FESTIVAL GETAWAY IS SOLD OUT!
KNKX's Portland Jazz Festival Getaway is Feb. 22-24. You're invited to join us for the first weekend of the 17th annual Portland Jazz Festival. You'll enjoy great music, hang out with jazz host Robin Lloyd and fellow KNKX listeners, and you can take the opportunity to explore the Rose City. The weekend includes two-night accommodations, two concerts including a meet and greet with Branford Marsalis, a group happy hour, and group Sunday brunch. Please see our information page for all the details. When you make your reservation, you can specify one King bed or two double beds. KNKX will handle all reservation details.
What is the cost of the trip?
The cost is $699 for one person and $999 for two people. Transportation to and from Portland is not included.
What time do we need to arrive on Saturday?
Our group happy hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Captain Gray room at the Duniway Portland hotel. That night's concert is at 7 p.m. Hotel check-in is at 4 p.m.
How many concerts are included?
Two concerts--one each on Saturday, Feb. 22 (Archie Shepp Quartet with Blue Cranes opening), 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 23 (An Evening with Branford Marsalis), 7 p.m. There will be a meet and greet with Branford Marsalis following his show.
How much is parking at the hotel?
Parking is $38.00 per night and is not included in the package. If you choose to park elsewhere, there are a number of options near the hotel.
Will we meet before each concert as a KNKX group?
We will be seated together whenever possible for both concerts at the Newmark Theatre. We will not have a formal meet-up beforehand except for the happy hour on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the hotel. If you would like to meet with fellow travelers before the concert, the hotel lobby would be a great location.

Newmark Theatre/Portland'5 Centers for the Arts, 1111 S.W. Broadway, is located in Portland's downtown theater district. This intimate 880-seat theater was designed to emulate the Edwardian-style theaters of Europe. It is one of the most intimate theatrical experiences you'll ever encounter - no seat is farther than 65 feet from the stage. The Newmark Theatre is located inside Antoinette Hatfield Hall.
The Newmark is within walking distance from the Duniway Portland hotel which is located at 545 S.W. Taylor.
