Happy Independence Day! Here are some regional celebrations:
Seafair Summer Fourth – July 4, 3-11 p.m. Summer Fourth features a fully choreographed fireworks presentation accompanied by a musical score and a host of pre-show activities during the day. Summer Fourth offers several free and reserved seating options and multiple vantage points to enjoy the show, Lake Union for an overhead view, Gas Works Park for a hilltop view, and Lake Union Park for a darker sky view.
Bellevue Family Fourth – July 4, 5-10:30 p.m. at Bellevue Downtown Park. Enjoy free live music, children's activities, a variety of food options/food trucks and family entertainment. The evening leads up to a spectacular fireworks show synchronized with a live performance by the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra. The Fireworks show starts at 10:05 p.m.
Downhome Fourth of July – July 4 at Veteran’s Memorial Field in Issaquah from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This FREE event offers family friendly activities for the entire community including: the Kids ‘n Pets Parade, Memorial Field festivities, Live Music, food trucks and more. This year the event and parade will feature a 4th of July themed Costume Contest!
Tacoma Summer Blast - July 4 at Cummings Park and Dune Peninsula. Activities at both locations start at 12 noon and include foods, arts and crafts vendors, main stage, family zone, and beer garden. Fireworks show begins at 10 p.m. along the Ruston Way Waterfront.
Lacey Fireworks Spectacular – July 3 from 4-11 p.m. For over 50 years, Lacey has celebrated the holiday a day early with Fireworks, Food, Music, and Fun! Enjoy Beat Frequency at 5pm and Good Vibrations Beach Boys tribute at 8pm. Fireworks will be set to music at 10pm.
Tumwater Annual Independence Parade – July 4 at 11 a.m. The Parade starts at the corner of Capitol Boulevard and Lee Street and ends at Linderson Way/Israel Road Intersection. Awards will be given in several categories including Huggable Loveable Pet, Comic, Mounted Drill, Emergency Response Unit, and Classic Cars.
Fabulous Fourth of July in Mount Vernon – July 4, 10 p.m. at Edgewater Park. Join us for the Fabulous 4th of July fireworks show....a good time for the entire family! Our spectacular firework show begins at dark. Edgewater Park is the perfect place to join us for lots of space to spread out and enjoy the best seats in the house for awesome fireworks. Please note, our 2022 event will not include music or food.
Port of Bellingham 4th of July Festival - July 4, 2-10:30 p.m. Bellingham Downtown Waterfront in partnership with Kulshan Brewing. Whatcom County’s largest, most popular Independence Day event, drawing celebrants from all over Washington State. Starting at 2 p.m., enjoy a family-friendly assortment of yard games. Inner Child Studios will be in the park providing free interactive activities as well as the Bellingham Circus Guild and face painting by Cynthia Poppe with Wear Art Thou . You can also bring your bikes and ride the pump track, or play on the playground at Waypoint Park. Kulshan’s Trackside Beer Garden opens at 11am, and is a family friendly location. There will be a fun mix of bands that will entertain the crowds from the Trackside Beer Garden stage, starting at 4pm. Hungry celebrants can purchase refreshments from local food vendors.
Summerfest – July 3-4 in Centralia. Get ready for two days of summer fun, including a Destruction derby, fireworks, Swat Challenges, Parades and much more! Sunday, July 3 at Southwest Washington Fairgrounds: Safety City & Bicycle Traffic Garden from noon-10:30 p.m. Monday, July 4 at Borst Park in Centralia: "I Ran From the Cops" offered by the Centralia Police Officers Association at 8:30 a.m.; SWAT Challenge also at 8:30 a.m.; tour of the Historic Borst Home. Monday, July 4 in Historic Downtown Centralia: Summerfest Parade at 4 p.m. beginning on Centralia College Blvd.
“A Patriotic 4th of July Concert” with the Sequim City Band - July 4 at James Center for the Performing Arts. Several of your favorite melodies will soar through the airwaves: Morton Gould’s ‘American Salute’, Carmen Dragon’s beautiful arrangement of ‘America the Beautiful’, and a nod to small town Americana with selections from Meredith Wilson’s ‘Music Man’. As is the band’s tradition, past and current service personnel will be recognized with a medley of military service songs in ‘Armed Forces Salute’. Join our very own community band – a tradition since 1992. The City of Sequim invites you continue the fun with additional live music offered from the James Center stage throughout the day. The celebration will culminate with the fireworks display at approximately 10:00 p.m.
