Snow greeted some Puget Sound communities this morning, making for a slippery commute. Buses in Snohomish County skidded on freeway ramps, according to The Seattle Times.
At least two Community Transit buses were stuck along Interstate 5 entrance ramps south of Everett about 7 a.m. Wednesday as snow slickened road surfaces, according to the State Patrol.
As the morning commute progressed, snowfall intensified in the Everett, Mill Creek and Lynnwood areas, where the accumulations have amounted to a few inches. Pierce and Thurston counties also received snowfall overnight and into the morning hours.
But the greatest amount fell in the 'convergence zone,' centered over Snohomish County this morning.

After today's snowfall, the region should dry out for a few days, with sun predicted Friday and Saturday. Daytime high temperatures are expected to reach the mid-30s, and nighttime lows are predicted in the 20s through Saturday.
The National Weather Serviceforecasts lots of mountain snow, and a very intense snowstorm for the eastern third of the state. Spokane may get anywhere from 8 to 12 inches today, with even greater accumulations predicted for the Idaho panhandle.
