Elisa Sansalone, Chief Marshal for Seattle Municipal Court

This story originally aired on December 2, 2017.

Chief Marshal Elisa Sansalone says she finds calm in the chaos of the Municipal Court of Seattle.

That’s important for someone who leads a team tasked with transporting defendants to and from court about 15,000 times a year.

But being Chief Marshal is far from the job that Sansalone imagined when she was younger. She imagined a rather glitzier career -- one in film and television. And she achieved that, garnering credits for behind-the-scenes workon more than a dozen productions, from "Serial Mom" to "Last Man Standing."

It's not easy to make a career behind the camera so far from Hollywood, but it's Sansalone's second act that makes her unique.
