Watch this space for information about upcoming Latin Jazz concerts in Seattle this fall, and more!

One of the songs we'll hear on  Saturday Jazz Caliente this week is "Guanabara" from Jovino Santos Neto's  2003 album Canto do Rio.  Jovino is the Earshot Jazz Festival's Artist in Residence this year, and I'll be telling you more about that in a couple of weeks.

After this Saturday's show, I'll be taking some time off and Paige Hansen will be hosting Saturday Jazz Caliente on September 8th and 15th.  Thanks, Paige!

When I get back, refreshed and renewed, I'll be posting an interview with the amazing young Cuban pianist Harold Lopez-Nussa, a Jazz Caliente preview of the2018 Earshot Jazz Festival, and a look at the Latin Grammy Award nominees for this year.

This fall is going to be full of great Latin Jazz, stay tuned to Jazz Caliente so you don't miss one note of it!

See you in September...

Jazz Caliente airs Saturdays at 5:00 p.m.  The show is hosted by Robin Lloyd and produced by KNKX Public Radio.
