Dee Daniels And SRJO In Concert Highlights

"My Favorite Things" was the title of the concerts ending the 2017-18 season for the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra. Dee Daniels was the featured vocalist in a program including songs made popular by Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, Nat Cole, Marvin Gaye, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. The songs selected by Dee Daniels for this concert represent her varied interests in music and her long career that has taken her to six continents.

Highlights from the concerts will air this week on Jazz Northwest. The concerts were recorded in June at the Kirkland Performance Center and the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

Michael Brockman, who is co-artistic director with Clarence Acox, conducts the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra. The 2018-2019 season begins October 6-7 with "A Night at the Village Vanguard," and includes concerts with multi-award winning composer-arranger Maria Schneider on November 3-4.   Subscription information is available at srjo.org.
